Understanding the treatment
What is RF microneedling?
Radio-frequency microneedling uses fine needles to deliver RF energy into the skin. The energy creates heat at the treatment depth, alongside the controlled punctures made by the needles. This aims to encourage the skin’s repair response and collagen remodelling.
Our system combines an RF microneedling handpiece with a separate cooling handpiece. Your practitioner will assess the treatment area and explain the proposed approach before you decide whether to proceed.
Standard Dermapen microneedling uses needles without RF energy. Dual Injector Pro is our separate needle-free RF and electroporation treatment.

Before you book
Suitability, recovery and risks
RF microneedling is not suitable for everyone. Tell us if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted device, take blood-thinning medicine, have a bleeding disorder, heal poorly or have a history of raised scars. Active skin infection or a suspicious skin lesion needs assessment before treatment. Do not stop prescribed medicine without advice from your prescriber.
Redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness, pinpoint bleeding, dryness or flaking can occur afterwards. Recovery varies with your skin and the treatment performed; your practitioner will explain what to expect.
Potential complications include infection, pigment changes, burns and scarring. Serious complications such as unwanted fat loss, nerve injury and lasting changes to appearance have also been reported with RF microneedling. Your consultation should cover these risks and the alternatives.
Follow your individual aftercare plan, including advice about sun protection, skincare, make-up, exercise and heat exposure. Contact the clinic promptly if you have concerns after treatment, and seek urgent medical advice for severe or worsening symptoms.
Useful information
Your questions answered
Is RF microneedling similar to Morpheus8?
Yes, in the type of technology used. Both combine fine needles with radio-frequency energy delivered into the skin. Morpheus8 is InMode’s branded RF microneedling system; Beautiful World uses a different RF microneedling device.
The comparison relates to this shared treatment principle. It does not mean that the machines have identical specifications, safety profiles or results. Your practitioner will explain our device, its suitability and the expected outcomes at consultation.
For the basis of this technology comparison, see InMode’s information about Morpheus8.
Is RF microneedling the same as Dual Injector Pro?
No. RF microneedling delivers radio-frequency energy through fine needles that enter the skin. Dual Injector Pro uses needle-free radio frequency and electroporation. They are separate treatments with different suitability and recovery considerations.
Does the treatment feel uncomfortable?
You may feel heat, prickling or discomfort. Sensation varies between people and treatment areas. Your practitioner will discuss suitable comfort measures and what to expect before treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your skin, the concern being treated and your response. We will discuss an individual plan and spacing at consultation, then review progress before recommending further sessions.
When will I see results?
Changes develop gradually over the following weeks and months. Results and their duration vary, and some people need more than one session. Treatment does not stop the natural ageing process.
Can I have treatment before an event?
Allow time for recovery and discuss your event date with us before booking. Avoid planning treatment immediately before an important occasion, as redness, swelling or other skin changes may still be visible.
